Night Safari

it was partly planned a month ago, yet a last minute decision to go to the zoo..

or rather to be more precise..

the night safari.

'see them in a different light'

-so the slogan says...

i just totally see them in no light!

ok obvious exaggeration..

but it was hard to see clearly with lousy contact lenses on

and the dark just made it worst..

the walking trail had only few dimly-lighted lamps.. which makes a very good environment for bo liao xiao mei to try to scare us attempt after failed attempt..

but it was an experience to experience since i can't remember when i last saw such creatures..

we took the tram and saw lots of animals.. but each look didn't last for more than a minute. the poor lions and wolves were anorexic! i wonder what they've been living on! since their probably not allowed to eat their fellow habitants..

as i looked out for the various creatures in their little mini habitats..

i felt relieved that i wasn't one of them..

i can't imagine being cooped up in a single tiny area all day long..

juz waiting to be fed at standard times and being watched by thousand pairs of eyes every night.. and they can't do anything to/for me!

can't feed..

can't flash..

(as in no camera flashing cuz i will be blinded)

can't sayang..

can't play..

omg so BORING SIA!!!

well something very cute and funny took place last night..

it was during the

'creatures of the night show'

the host wasn't the funny host that the lokcoks had..

instead we got this cute girl who speaks in story telling mode and grins throughout her speeches..

i didn't exactly watched the show in awe.. but there were definitely some awesome animals.. like the largest hyena.. wolves.. humo python and cute racoons!

but i liked the otters da best!

they were suppose to perform a recycling stun.. to put paper cups, cans, and plastic bottles in the respective dustbins..

the one doing the aluminum cans was so adorable!

it seemed to have problem reaching high enough to throw the can into the bin.. and ended up tossing around its paws and mouth like some juggling trick.. it kinda took it ages b4 the trainer cheated and help nudge the can into the bin..

time for the 2nd can..

lol!! same problem!!

it was oh so hilarious!!

at the end of the entire journey, sophie-me-shaun fooling around with the toys in the gift shop..

oh! and we rode on a zebra! but those photos are in sophie's camera.. need to get them from her!! =p
