not a lifesaver but a friend

ytd during LS, van went into hyperventilation...
wow.. so that's what a real emergency is like..
i witness the whole process of it..

i wouldnt have been able to do anything if gary wasnt there.. if the REAL lifesavers of clementi pool weren't there...

it was slow but sudden at the same time..like ok den not ok.. den ok den not ok again..
until it was not ok all the way...

the ambulance came, and i got on it with her..
but she refused to go hospital..

so i stayed in the stationary ambulance with her and tried to talk and calm her down..
she also had spasm.. so now i see what spasm is like...
her fist were clenched so tightly that her entire wrist and fingers were very stiff and pale.. the start of it was hinted by sudden jerking..

i realised that it is quite ironic that i am a lifesaver (though unqualified) but dunno wad to do.. i could only act as a friend and do whatever i could with my instincts of a friend!

i was glad that in the end van managed to return her breathing to normal.. though it really took a while.. until medics wanna chase us out le.. haha
saying that "this is emergency vehical, cannot stay here for 1 hour"..

so we carried her out and laid her on a public bench.. and kept her warm while waiting for her parents to come down..

treddy cabbed to NUH and then cabbed back to clementi..cuz he didnt expect us not to go hospital.. but gd that the club will refund him the cab fare..

went home with her in her parents car.. and she slp soundly on my lap..

got calls from zy and treddy later at night to check on her condition..which was expected.. since we 3 were the ones looking after her and we all wanna make sure she's fine...

but today i had a call from some lady but i didnt hear clearly but said sth to the extent like she's from SSC (i figured maybe student services center/care?) and she read some report and asked me how van was.. and thanked me for looking after her..

for a moment i tot is was singapore sports council and asking about my cousin.. lol..
took awhile before i registered anything and gave my own interpretation it should be about ytd's event.. haha.

but after i put down the phone.. i tried figuring who she was, from where.. and y call me? how did she get my number? im thinking like maybe the club had to report the matter to the sch...? tt's if she's from sch.. or is it sports council? since it's sports related.. and it's a matter of life and death..
